One of the best authors of classic ghost stories was M.R. James. His stories are still creepy. If you are looking for ghost stories to read aloud or share, give Mr. James stories a try!

One of my favorite modern day authors of ghost stories is Simone St. James. Several of her books are set around WW1 and once you read one, you'll find yourself searching out all her titles! Highly recommended!
