Six Chix Cartoon for May 28, 2022

We get a lot of birds coming through to the feeders over the course of a year.  Even naughty visiting chickens that have been digging up the flower beds!

Saturday's Six Chix cartoon!

This is the second week in a row for a library/ book lover cartoon. I work 6 weeks ahead and also because I work in a library and I love reading and books that I find myself writing and drawing about those subjects.

As a kid, in the summer,  I used to walk to our elementary school and take a drawing class and also get books at the Library. Thanks to some helpful classmates from back then, her name has resurfaced from the past, Mrs. Jensen, a wonderful Librarian' who was everything a Children's Librarian should be. She recommended  so many books to me and one I'll always remember was Carbonel, King of the Cats  and I'm sure that helped to make me the life long cat lover I am to this day!

Anyway, here is this week's cartoon!

Six Chix for Book Lovers this week!

This week's cartoon is based on reality! I always say "Fiction is my Reality"! I did a t-shirt with that quote a few years back:

Just a tiny fraction of the books I couldn't let go of after I read them:
(a lot more Phantom based things should be included here!)

Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux
Phantom by Susan Kay
The Stars May Rice and Fall by Estella Mirai
Dracula by Bram Stoker
Learning to Swear in America by Katie Kennedy
Love Walked In by Marissa de los Santos (didn't like the sequels, though)
Leaving Everest by Megan Westfield
I could go on and on and on and on but if you go to my book review blog: The Militant Recommender
If I reviewed it, I loved it!

Six Chix this week!

This was one of my favorite cartoons. I enjoyed writing and drawing it... except I sent in two versions. This is the one that appeared in print and online:

And this is the other version I sent in. I thought this wording was funnier, but I guess you can't use some words in the comics! Reed Brennan does the coloring. I do my Sundays. So this is how they are sent in.
