Winter in NH

New Hampshire and New England in general are not places you'd want to live if you don't have an end of the world, survivor instinct (or, shudder, are a winter sports enthusiast!!!). That means we get snow. LOTS of it. WAAAY toooooo much for my liking. Everything comes to a halt. Until you can dig out. While I was tucked up inside, today, waiting to shovel out of the latest storm... I drew up a little peek into what we have to deal with over here, for those of you lying under a palm tree somewhere.

  1. Stephanie, this is really scary! You and I are way too much alike!! I actually took a picture of OUR snow falling the other day....and it looks exactly like yours!! Wow! Imagine that! I didn't post mine, though, because I didn't think it would show up very good....but yours looks just fine!! We got about a foot of snow..and WE'RE supposed to get more, too!!

  2. Hi Becky,

Oh, post your photo! That is too funny!!! Yes, this is seeming like a reallllly long winter and it's only January. At least we are getting more minutes of daylight...(so we aren't shoveling in the dark! Looking at seed catalogs makes one feel a little hopeful that there will be an end to it!!!

  3. I love the collage-pastes of the shovel and husband!
A piece to add... my propane truck driver proposed to me when he saw me shoveling off my porch roof by myself. All these men are really just out for a workhorse, most times!

  4. Ha! Jessamy, that is hilarious, but true...I think. John always complemented me on my bringing in wood. Back in the day! So, tell me more about this propane driver!

  5. Stephanie, I love your expressions! I like the collage too. I like snow, even on our steep narrow streets and all these hills, and it's also easier than disliking it. I'm close enough to Main Street that I walk instead of driving to go to the bank and post office. Happy shoveling!
