2025 Valentine's Day Cartoon Challenge Day 9

Another horribly snowy day, so today's drawing was influenced by that!

2025 Valentine's Day Cartoon Challenge Day 8 + Six Chix

I work ahead on my Six Chix cartoon. Often I send a note for the colorists. I never know how something will look until the day I see it posted! Here's today's surprise!

2025 Valentine's Day Cartoon Challenge Day 6

It's another snowy day. John drove me to work and picked me up early, as I had earned time off I could use. I am not a big fan of winter! As today's Valentine drawing conveys!

2025 Valentine's Day Cartoon Challenge Day 5

It's Day 5 of the Valentine drawings and here is my latest. I always have fun playing around with a theme. This character is maybe not too happy about being included!

2025 Valentine's Day Cartoon Challenge Day 4

Yow! It's Day 4 of the Valentine's Day drawing challenge! Here is my drawing for today! Who doesn't love raccoons? I seem to always draw them rummaging through garbage for some special finds, like a used heart Valentine!

2025 Valentine's Day Cartoon Challenge Day 3 + My Mom's Birthday

Today was my Mom's birthday. She's been gone a while, and much too soon. She was the best Mom ever, always encouraging me and setting an example on what a great Mom is. She was funny, smart, sophisticated and cultured. She taught me to love theatre, movies, literature and museums. She and my Dad loved the city and from a young age, I learned to love it, too! I was allowed to read whatever I wanted, to see whatever I wanted and given art supplies when my parents saw how much I loved to draw.
I still remember how we often thought of the same things at the same time and laughed at the same things. When I brought a kitten home from the dairy farm around the block, I tried to hide it (I was maybe 5?) because I was afraid my Mom wouldn't let me keep it. Instead, she became a cat lover! We always had cats after that! Even after my brother got a German Shepherd for his birthday. That dog also loved my Mom! Everyone did!

     And today's VDay drawing!
