Yay! It's Thanksgiving! Wishing you all a festive holiday filled with pie! And, remember, it is never too late to gather round the table to enjoy that classic tale of fallen royalty "The Turkey Prince"
I am always doing new Thanksgiving cartoons, so here are two recent ones that I liked:
And NOW... a brand new Mini Graphic Novel: The First Thanksgiving!
If you click on the images you'll be able to see them enlarged (I think!):
It seems that I have become the chronicler of royalty, what with that very famous Thanksgiving classic, "The Turkey Prince" and now, with the immortal tale of "The Bat Prince"!
This is the last cartoon before actual Halloween and the epic mini-graphic novel. So I've added a few extra surprises. First, a new cartoon, for those who never grow out of the Halloween spirit:
Then these creepy Halloween decorations from around town:
And this
And this cat in the cemetery
And trailers for two of my favorite ghost stories!"Portrait of Jennie"
and: "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir"
I am a fan of zombie movies (28 Days, 28 Days Later) and the Walking Dead (Daryl, Michonne, Rick) and so are these little kids, in theory, anyway:
Last night, my Friend of Friends, the Enabler, and I went to the Portsmouth Music Hall to see Lon Chaney's classic Phantom of the Opera on the big screen (I own 2 copies of it, but, hey, BIG SCREEN!)
The movie was shown with a live accompaniment by the amazing Walter Sickert and the Army of Broken Toys. They added a whole new layer to the silent Phantom with their score. Now I want a copy of the movie with their music! Here, via the miracle of Youtube is a video of the band:
It's Day 3 of the Cartoon Countdown. We all remember the best houses to Trick-or-Treat at, as kids, don't we? And the houses to avoid, too! This is one for the people out there who give out the Milky Ways and the Twix Bars and all the great candy... the stuff kids actually like!
